Newly Launched: Michelin Pilot Sport S 5

What is it that is to set the Pilot Sport S 5 apart from its predecessor, the Michelin Pilot Sport 5?

For starters, it features a revised tread design that's optimised for summer use.

Its internal construction also includes a blend of aramid and nylon for improved responsiveness and feedback.

One of the most significant differences between the Pilot Sport S 5 and the more track-focused Pilot Sport Cup 2 is that the S 5 is designed to perform well in wet conditions.

The tyre is rated B for wet weather grip across all sizes, and it has large longitudinal grooves at the outer edges of the tread to help channel water away from the contact patch.

Although it's not as aggressive as the Cup 2, the Pilot Sport S 5 is still a performance tyre through and through.

It also has larger tread blocks than the Pilot Sport 5, which means it has a larger contact patch for improved grip. It's also designed to be less flexible, which further enhances its handling capabilities.
