Trying to choose the best car tyres for your vehicle can, at times, seem like a headache. The market is big.
There are plenty of options to choose from, and a lot of information out there to sift through.
If you’ve made it this far, you have likely narrowed your options down to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the Michelin Primacy 4.
To try and make your decision that much easier, we’ve taken a lot of the relevant information on each tyre and laid it out before you. Enjoy.
Michelin developed the Pilot Sport 4, with help and consultation from BMW, Audi and Porsche.
This high-performance tyre was designed with a dynamic response technology – to help ensure the tyre conforms to the road, providing motorists with excellent traction and grip.
Michelin’s use of elastomers and hydrophobic Silica in the tyre’s tread compound helps the tyre to deliver excellent grip and a reliable braking performance.

A new tyre compound was designed for this model to deliver a strong traction with reliable braking performances.
This model also introduced a tread wear indicator to help motorists figure out when their tyres require replacement.

Noise ratings are scored slightly differently, with the scores sorted into class A, B or C. On top of this the rolling noise of the tyre is measured in decibels and the number shown on the label.
As tyre models come in a variety of different sizes, you may find that the score changes from size to size – there is no model wide scoring.
