Rounds 1–3 at Donington Park on April 26–27, and spans 30 races across 10 events, visiting iconic circuits nationwide through to the finale back at Brands Hatch in October.

Sustainable Fuel Era Begins
2025 marks the beginning of a new technological chapter for the BTCC as the championship goes 100% fossil-free with fully sustainable fuel across all entries. This move replaces hybrid technology, keeping the same boost-based deployment system but with lighter, more agile cars — now around 55kg lighter.
While boost deployment will still be visible to fans via LED panels and ITV broadcast graphics, teams will no longer receive this information in real time via timing screens — making strategic deployment even more crucial.
With the lighter weight and consistent turbo output, lap times are expected to fall, and the new 2025-spec cars could become the fastest BTCC machines in history.

The BTCC’s global broadcast reach has grown again for 2025. Every race day will be streamed live
worldwide on the BTCC YouTube channel (excluding the UK and North America, which have dedicated broadcast deals).
In the UK:
- ITV4 and ITVX will show every race live and free
- Qualifying will continue to be streamed live on ITVX
Worldwide (excluding UK/NA):
BTCC YouTube channel will carry full race day coverage, including all support races. This strategic step forward ensures the championship continues to deliver for its international fanbase while expanding accessibility like never before.
