Can you change tyre without the locking wheel nut?

If your wheels have locking wheel nuts, you will need a locking wheel nut key. Without one you will be unable to have your tyres changed.

The reason for this is each wheel is fitted with one locking wheel nut.

This is essentially an anti-theft device – that stops a thief from removing your wheels as they please.

Every locking wheel nut on your car has an identical pattern that matches that of the locking wheel nut key.

Without this your wheels cannot be unlocked and removed for a tyres change.
