Lamborghini Revuelto review: Does it still drive like a proper Lambo?
With added electrification and the promise of quadruple-digit horsepower, Vicki hits the road to find out if the new Revuelto feels like a true V12 poster car.
The words hybrid and Lamborghini were never seen in the same sentence less than a decade ago. Afterall, the Bologna-based brand gained notoriety for the bombastic, theatrical character of its engines, not how little fuel they could sip. But the times are a changin’ and, as Vicki finds out, this new electrified setup isn’t one that petrolheads should fear.
But first, the styling. Lower, longer, and
wider than a Ferrari 12 Cilindri, the Revuelto’s dimensions alone give it plenty of road presence. Of course, all the vents, slashes, and louvres, also help in that regard. However, the flamboyant looks aren’t just for show, they’re functional too. This V12 colossus is the most aerodynamic mass-production Lamborghini ever to roll off the production line — with the most downforce to boot.
Oh, and it wouldn’t be a true supercar without employing lashings of exotic materials in its construction. From the trademark aluminium scissor doors and carbon fibre tub to lightweight windscreen glass and titanium wheel bolts — there’s even ceramic brakes on all four corners.

So it should be a bit of firecracker to drive, right? Well, yes, but strangely Vicki starts her review by sampling the Lambo’s surprisingly forgiving suspension, rather than the brutality of that 12-cylinder powerplant. In fact, the DriverReview’s host states that even after a 2-and-a-half-hour drive, you can jump out and feel “fresh as a daisy” — high praise for something which looks this hardcore.
Of course, you’d rather hear what it’s like when you get the hammer down. Breathtaking is the answer. Thanks to three electric motors working in unison with a whopping 6.5-litre N/A V12, the Revuelto demolishes the 0-60 mph dash in just 2.5 seconds. With 1001 bhp on tap, is it any surprise it accelerates as hard as a Bugatti Veyron?
That said, you will be shocked at how user-friendly the Revuelto feels when driven to the limit. Though there are 13 different driving modes to choose from, Vicki argues that you need just one: ESC off. And even with all the electronic safety nets out the window, the DriverReview’s presenter has no trouble sliding the Lambo on command. Thanks to an ultra-responsive throttle, easy to modulate brakes, and a sharp-shifting eight-speed dual clutch gearbox, “anyone could drive it”.
But are there any flies in the ointment? You’ll need to watch the video to find out.
