How does an interim service differ from a full or major service?

There are some differences between a full service and a major service.

A full service is more comprehensive and typically carried out every 12 months or 12,000 miles. It includes everything in an interim service but adds more detailed inspections of components like the suspension, cooling system, and electrical systems. Parts such as air filters and spark plugs may also be replaced.

A major service is the most extensive, recommended every 24 months or 24,000 miles. It includes everything from a full service plus additional maintenance such as a brake fluid change and cabin filter replacement.

While an interim service is quicker and more affordable, a full or major service offers a deeper inspection to keep your car in top condition and reduce the risk of unexpected repairs.
