Blackcircles.com Joins the National Tyre Distributors Association

Blackcircles.com is pleased to announce that it has joined the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA), strengthening its ties with the UK tyre trade.

The NTDA is one of the sector’s leading trade associations, bringing together businesses across tyre retail, wholesale, distribution, mobile fitting, manufacturing, retreading and recycling, as well as the wider automotive aftercare market.

Becoming a member marks another important step for Blackcircles.com as it looks to build closer relationships across the industry and contribute to the conversations shaping its future.

Supporting the UK tyre industry

Since launching in 2001, Blackcircles.com has helped transform the way motorists buy tyres, combining the convenience of online ordering with access to a nationwide network of independent fitting partners.

Today, as the UK’s leading online tyre retailer, Blackcircles.com connects customers with a wide range of tyres and fitting options across the country.

NTDA membership provides an opportunity to bring Blackcircles.com’s experience in digital tyre retail to the wider trade, while gaining insight from businesses operating across different areas of the sector. It will also enable greater involvement in discussions around industry standards, professional development, regulation and tyre safety.

“Joining the NTDA is an important step for Blackcircles.com and reflects our commitment to playing an active role in the wider UK tyre industry. Our business brings together the convenience of digital retail with the expertise of tyre professionals across the country, and we’re looking forward to working more closely with the NTDA and its members to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and support high standards across the sector.”

Michael O’Connor, Chief Operations Officer, Blackcircles.com

Strengthening connections across the tyre trade

Blackcircles.com has always recognised the vital role played by tyre fitters and independent garages. Its fitting network brings together the simplicity of buying tyres online with the knowledge and expertise of professionals on the ground.

Joining the NTDA strengthens that connection by placing Blackcircles.com alongside businesses from across the tyre supply chain and creating new opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.

That will become increasingly important as the industry responds to changing vehicle technology, the continued growth of electric vehicles, sustainability challenges and evolving customer expectations.

For Blackcircles.com, membership provides an opportunity to contribute its digital and customer perspective to these discussions while gaining a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges experienced across the trade.

“One of the real strengths of the NTDA is its ability to bring together businesses from across the tyre industry and give the sector a collective voice. As customer expectations, vehicle technology and the way people buy tyres continue to evolve, that collaboration becomes increasingly valuable. We’re excited to work alongside the NTDA and its members, sharing our experience in digital tyre retail while contributing to the conversations that will help shape the future of the industry.”

John Paterson, Head of Network, Blackcircles.com

About the NTDA

NTDA logo

Founded in 1930, the National Tyre Distributors Association has represented and supported the UK tyre trade for almost a century.

Its membership spans businesses across the sector, from tyre retailers, distributors and wholesalers to mobile fitting operators, manufacturers, retreaders and recyclers, alongside organisations in the wider automotive aftercare market.

A key part of the NTDA’s role is supporting professionalism across the trade. It provides members with technical and regulatory guidance, training and professional development, while promoting best practice and tyre safety.

The Association also acts as a collective voice for its members, engaging with government, regulators and other industry stakeholders on legislation, policy and issues affecting the tyre sector.

As a new member, Blackcircles.com looks forward to becoming an active part of the NTDA community and bringing its experience as an online tyre retailer and nationwide fitting network to the Association.
