Where to Find Your Hyundai i10 Tyre Pressure Label

On most Hyundai models, the tyre pressure label is fitted to the driver’s side centre pillar. That is the upright post the front door closes against, visible once you open the door. Look at eye level down towards the door latch, and you should find a rectangular sticker giving the recommended pressures for your car.

If you cannot see it there, check the inside of the fuel filler flap as a second location, since some model years and markets carry it there instead.

Use it to confirm the exact tyre size fitted to your car against the tables above. That is the fastest way to find the right row, especially on the third-generation i10 where three different tyre sizes were offered.

How to Read Your Hyundai i10 Tyre Pressure Label

Everyday driving: a driver, perhaps one or two passengers, a light boot. Most i10s should sit on this figure most of the time.

Full load

Every seat occupied and luggage on board – holidays, a packed boot, airport runs. Use the higher figure here, since underinflation under load is what causes a tyre to flex, overheat and fail.

Comfort or ECO pressure (if fitted)

Where a label offers a separate comfort or ECO figure, it works in one of two directions: a comfort setting softens the ride at some cost to fuel economy, while an ECO setting raises pressure to cut rolling resistance. Neither replaces the standard load-based figures – check your own label to see whether your i10 offers either.

Whichever figure you use, never exceed the maximum pressure printed on the tyre sidewall itself – that’s a limit set by the tyre, not a target to aim for.

Why Other Sources May Give You a Different Number

If you have looked this up before landing here, do not be surprised if you have seen a different figure. There are a few common reasons.

The first is generation confusion – quoting a figure for the current AC3-generation i10 against a second- or third-hand search for an older PA- or IA-generation car, or vice versa.

The second is column confusion – comparing a full-load figure from one source against a normal-load figure from another, for what looks like the same car.

The third is that many online tyre pressure charts for the i10 are not sourced from Hyundai’s own handbook at all, which is why you will often find sites disagreeing with each other on what looks like the same model and year. What to Do If Your i10’s Tyre Pressure Label Is Missing

On older or higher-mileage cars, the label can fade, get painted over, or go missing entirely. If yours has, you have a few routes:

Picking a number from a generic online chart is not a substitute for any of the above – it is exactly the kind of guess that leaves a loaded car running on the wrong pressure.

How to Check Your Hyundai i10 Tyre Pressure Properly

Check tyre pressure at least once a month, and always before a long journey. Include the spare or space-saver – it is often overlooked and is usually inflated to the highest pressure on the label, ready for whenever you need it.

Always check when the tyres are cold. The figures on the label apply to cold tyres, and a tyre that has just been driven on reads higher simply because the air inside has warmed and expanded. In practice, that means the car shouldn’t have covered more than a mile or two at low speed in the last few hours.

Cold weather affects this too – air contracts as it cools, so pressures drop in winter even with no puncture or leak. That is why warning lights often appear on the first properly cold morning of the year.

Never let air out of a warm tyre to bring it down to the figure on the label – once it cools, that tyre will be underinflated, which is exactly the condition that lets a tyre overheat and fail. Check cold on the driveway before a motorway run, not at a service station after driving there.

The Hyundai i10 Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Like most modern cars, the i10 uses a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that warns you when a tyre has dropped below its stored reference value.

Because the system works from stored references rather than reading a target figure directly, inflating the tyres is usually only half the job – most systems also need the new values saved so the warning clears. On many cars this is done through the infotainment or vehicle settings menu; on others it is a physical reset button.

A couple of things worth knowing regardless of the exact steps: new tyres can expand slightly once driven at speed, which is enough to trigger a single one-off warning that is not a fault. And if the light comes back within days of a reset, stop resetting it and have the tyre inspected – a light that keeps returning is usually reporting a slow puncture, a leaking valve, or a poor seal at the rim rather than a system glitch.

Does Your Tyre Brand Change the Recommended Pressure?

No. The figures on your label – and in the tables above – are set by Hyundai for your car’s axle weights and approved tyre sizes, not by whoever made the tyre.

Fit Michelin, Continental, Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone or a budget brand in the correct size, and your figures still apply. The same holds across summer, winter and all-season tyres in the sizes approved for your car.

The exception is size, not brand. If the tyre size fitted to your car differs from the ones listed above, the correct pressure needs confirming separately – ask your fitter or an authorised Hyundai retailer.
