How to clean tyres & make them shine

Here's a step-by-step walkthrough on how you can give your tyres some much-needed TLC:

Materials You'll Need

• A bucket of warm water
• A scrub brush
• A sponge or wash mitt
• A tyre cleaner
• A tyre shine product
• Microfiber towels

Step 1: Rinse the Tyres

Before you get into the nitty-gritty of cleaning your tyres properly, you should give them a rinse them with water. This will remove any loose dirt or debris. Your best way to do this is with a hose or pressure washer.

Step 2: Apply Tyre Cleaner

Now they have been rinsed, it is time to apply a tyre cleaner to the sidewalls. There are a few different products of this nature on the market. So be sure to follow the instructions on the specific product you have chosen.

Different cleaners may have different application methods

These normally coming in the format of a spray or a gel.

Step 7: Buff the Tyres

Finally use a clean microfiber towel to buff the tyres. If then properly you can get a nice sheened finish to your tyres. Remember to remove any excess product.

Step 8: Step back
