Here's a step-by-step walkthrough on how you can give your tyres some much-needed TLC:
Materials You'll Need
• A bucket of warm water
• A scrub brush
• A sponge or wash mitt
• A tyre cleaner
• A tyre shine product
• Microfiber towels
Step 1: Rinse the Tyres
Before you get into the nitty-gritty of cleaning your tyres properly, you should give them a rinse them with water. This will remove any loose dirt or debris. Your best way to do this is with a hose or pressure washer.
Step 2: Apply Tyre Cleaner
Now they have been rinsed, it is time to apply a tyre cleaner to the sidewalls. There are a few different products of this nature on the market. So be sure to follow the instructions on the specific product you have chosen.

Step 3: Scrub the Tyres
To give the tyres a good clean, you will need to use a scrub brush. Work the cleaning product the tyre, focusing on the sidewalls. This is where most of the dirt and grime tends to accumulate.
Step 4: Rinse the Tyres Again
With newly scrubbed tyres, rinse them again with water. Again, this is to remove the cleaner and any remaining dirt.
Step 5: Dry the Tyres
Now comes the time to dry. You can use a microfiber towel to dry your newly cleaned tyres completely. Be sure to get in between the treads and around the lettering on the sidewalls.
Step 6: Apply Tyre Shine Product
Once you have fully dried the tyres apply a tyre shine or tyre dressing. Again, like with cleaning product, there are many of these to choose from. Follow instructions on the label of your chosen tyre shine.

Step 7: Buff the Tyres
Finally use a clean microfiber towel to buff the tyres. If then properly you can get a nice sheened finish to your tyres. Remember to remove any excess product.
Step 8: Step back
Step back and enjoy the fruits of your labour – a clean and shiny set of tyres.
