Michelin have developed the Pilot Road 3 as a sport-touring radial tyre. Designed to deliver all-weather grip, even wear and long life across a wide range of motorcycles. It is the successor to the Pilot Road 2, and it pairs a dual-compound tread with full-depth sipes for great control in wet weather.
Pilot Road 3 tyres are available in 17 inch and 18 inch front and rear fitments for sport-touring motorcycles.
X-Sipe Technology
XST full-depth sipes add drainage capacity to the tread and generate pressure at the sipe edges to break up the film of water beneath the tyre. For standout grip in the wet.
Two-Compound Technology
The 2CT dual-compound layout places a wear-resistant compound down the centre of the tread for mileage, with softer, grippier compounds on the shoulders for cornering.
Long Life and Even Wear
Because the XST sipes run the full depth of the tread, their wet-weather performance lasts as the tyre wears, and they promote even wear across the tread.
