Michelin have developed the CrossClimate 2 as an all-season tyre for drivers needing consistent performance across dry, wet and snowy conditions. It uses a new-generation tread compound with higher silica and carbon black content to adapt to changing road temperatures.

CrossClimate 2 tyres are available in 15 inch, 16 inch, 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch, 20 inch and 21 inch rim tyre sizes.

Adaptive Tread Compound

The tread compound is designed to respond to changing seasonal temperatures. Its silica and carbon black composition supports grip across dry, wet and snowy roads.

Snow Certified Performance

The CrossClimate 2 carries 3PMSF winter certification for use in snow conditions. Its tread design supports braking and traction on snow while retaining all-season usability. 

Efficient Rolling Resistance

Michelin have reduced rolling resistance compared with the CrossClimate+. Lower energy loss supports reduced fuel consumption and may also help preserve battery range on electric vehicles.

I use them November - March. They are not so far off summer tyres in mild weather and streets ahead in frost and snow, and on our gravel track. They are reasonably quiet. In our rural location in winter they are transformational vs summer tyres and on milder days they are also very usable, unlike a pure winter tyre. - Expensive but worth it. Great in the recent snowy and icy weather, would not have made it out on summer tyres. Don’t trade off much in terms of comfort or noise although efficiency is lower. Will put summer tyres back on in spring.

Excellent performance in all weathers. Grip so much better in wet and snow than summer tyres. Maybe a slightly firmer ride than summer tyres. - Excellent in snow and wet. Feel good in dry.

The best tyres I ever had. Had these before and then the same brand but different type and couldn’t wait to come back to my favourite one. Grip on wet surfaces is amazing. You can take corners without fear. Highly recommended.

I bought these tyres in order to have four of the same tyre on the car. The result is excellent balance and grip. I have reservations because the older cross-climate tyres on the car ( four years) are showing signs of tiny cracks in the top edges. This is also happening on my other car. However on balance I am buying these tyres for their road performance so overall decision is to keep them.

Well, had to buy these tyres after the nearside front one was kerbed at low speed off the traffic lights, resulting in a gash in the sidewall. They looked about half worn after 10,000 miles. Most advice was to buy a new pair of front tyres. They seem like good tyres but it was a bit disappointing as they are not cheap.

Great tyres - after over 10,000 miles they look about 1/3 worn and they've been great through snow and rain over the year, with no noticeable reduction in performance over summer tyres during the warm weather (which included my only real emergency stop of the year on dry roads in the Lake District when the person coming round the blind corner the opposite way forgot that we drive on the left - our car seemed to stop almost immediately from about 40 mph and collision was avoided)

Great performance in the wet - We've had some absolutely torrential rainstorms recently, and my vehicle has felt very surefooted and safe on dual carriageways, motorways and A-roads. Exactly what I want from a tyre.
