Hankook have developed the iON Evo Sound Absorber as a summer passenger car tyre specifically tailored for electric vehicles.

The tyre uses iON Innovative Technology, Sound Absorber Technology and EV-focused construction features to support low noise, extended range, wet grip and stable handling.

iON Evo Sound Absorber tyres are available in a range of passenger car fitments.

Sound absorbing tyre structure

The iON Evo Sound Absorber uses i Sound Absorber Technology to reduce tyre noise inside the cabin. Optimised Multi-Pitch Sequencing through Opti Pitch Technology also helps limit tread pattern noise.

EV mileage and efficiency

Hankook use ProDurable Compound and Round Even Technology to manage the additional weight and wear demands of electric vehicles. Opti Cure Technology reduces rolling resistance, helping support longer driving range and more even tread wear.

Electric vehicle handling

The tyre uses Grip Boost Technology, an aramid hybrid reinforcement belt and extended shoulder blocks. These features increase stiffness, support high-speed steering and improve traction under electric vehicle torque.
