The Falken Ziex ZE914 Ecorun is a tyre designed to couple high levels of fuel efficiency and low rolling resistance.
The tyre features an asymmetric tread design with four wide circumferential grooves. These make the tyre extremely resistant to hydroplaning whilst also providing stable and reliable performance on both wet and dry road road surfaces.
The tyre has also been constructed with Falken's special "Ecorun Compound" which works to reduce the tyre's rolling resistance, therefore using less fuel.
New tyre seems OK, difficult to tell as the car isn't the most sporty but I've not noticed anything bad so far
Havnt noticed a difference as the replaced tyre had good tread left.
have driven 38000 miles since purchasing vehicle fitted with this tyre. 25000 miles before renewing front 38000 miles before renewing rear. Vehicle diesel, front wheel drive, averaging 52 mpg on economy setting . I put that set of figures partly down to the tyres fitted.
louder than I expected, but overall very good
It has been 6 months since these tyres were fitted to the car. Overall, I am very happy with them. The main improvement is tyre noise, this is clearly a lot quieter that the tyres previous. Wet grip performance is very good. Price difference isn't a lot, but the quality is certainly on par. If this is as good on wear as the Continental of previous, then it is certainly recommended.
Feels like a brand new car as the original Dunlops that were on exacerbated the tramlining you'd expect from a runflat. Easy to handle and good grip wet or dry (have driven in terrential rain on a dual carriageway for an hour with no real problems). Got a sweet almost 90 degree bend on my way home from work that I understeered into the other day at a good speed to get a feel for the tyre's limits and they handled it perfectly fine.
Too soon to make a definitive statement. First impression is that they generate a higher level of road noise that I expected.
Seem pretty good. Feels like theyhave very hard sidewalls, which is great for handling, but the car is a bit harsher over bumps.
I think it is to early to say anything about the performance.
