Specially engineered for reliable everyday driving, the RainExpert 3 combines innovative technology with practical comfort to ensure safe and efficient motoring, even in heavy rain.

This tyre has been designed with three main features: improved stopping distances on wet and dry roads, better resistance to aquaplaning and a lower rolling resistance.

The Uniroyal RainExpert 3 is available in 13-inch, 14-inch, 15-inch, and 16-inch rim sized tyres.

Superior Aquaplaning Resistance

Uniroyal’s Shark Skin Technology features longitudinal grooves and an advanced tread structure that effectively reduce water turbulence.

This allows water to be evacuated quickly from the contact patch, significantly lowering the risk of aquaplaning on wet roads.

The tyres are working well - they’re on a classic car and as such it’s not driven an awful lot so it’s hard to tell if there are significant differences from the old ones. The operate fine and I’ve seen no issues with the shofar. Btw the reason I bought these tyres was because they were the only brand name that I recognised from those available - I would have preferred to buy the same as the previous tyres to keep them all the same but the dunlops were not offered.

Actually haven't driven anywhere on these tyres as the car no longer exists. However, I do recommend these tyres for wet use as they definitely improved grip on Scottish roads. - These tyres have been excellent in all conditions and have worn well. The only slight downside is the noise rating, but given how good they have been in rainy, snowy and icy conditions I can live with the high dB rating. Would love to provide you a picture of the tyres on the car, but sadly due to requiring extensive welding to get an MOT it has been scrapped, so attached is a picture of it being taken away, with it's lovely tyres.

Performance in the dry is better than I expected. 'A' rated for wet weather so performed as expected. - The tread pattern was a bit of a surprise, clearly designed to deal with wet conditions but they perform well in the dry too.

Due to covid, the actual mileage in a MG Midget is only 800 in a year. The wear appears good and the tyres needed little balancing on the rims. The sidewalls are soft so the the car’s body moves a little when cornering. However, the ride is improved, a good thing in a small car. The car has not been used in heavy rain, but the deep tread and soft rubber should cope well with slippery conditions. The tyres are recommended for this small, light car. - Seem ok. A bit more body roll due to soft sidewalls. That’s ok. Unfortunalely due to covid and lots of rain, I have not done many Miles. No slipping or sliding, which is good. I know that soft tyres will wear out quicker than harder ones, but at my annual mileage it is not a problem.
