Product description & features

The Tomket Sport has been designed to bring both driving performance and safety together. Tomket have carefully designed this tyre to ensure it gives the best performance in both hot, dry and rainy conditions.

The asymmetrical design of the tread pattern combined with the 4 large grooves down the middle of the tyre, help to quickly clear water from the tyre. This reduces the risk of aquaplaning greatly and increases the safety of the tyre in wet weather.

Tomket have also included a 3D block design on the tread, to enhance traction in both wet and dry weather conditions to boost grip performance to its greatest potential. The Sport has also been constructed with a rigid central belt within the tyre, to enhance grip and stability even further when reaching higher speeds.

The Tomket Sport is available in 15-inch to 20-inch rim sized tyres.

Very few miles driven and now in my area, Cornwall , there are lots of twenty miles per hour restrictions but when I have had the chance to use the car as it should be used the tyres have performed well. This has been an awful year for weather but whatever’s thrown at the tyres they seem to cope with everything. Wear because of lack of miles is nominal some signs but not much. The roads around here are atrocious with surface degradation and pot holes, but even when driving uphill on what is like ploughed fields the tyres grip well.

Good feel from the tyres when wet not sure about longevity, obviously time will tell! Definite noise reduction. Not had any snow or ice but feel the tyres would perform adequately if you respected the conditions. In the dry I have had one emergency stop situation and the tyres held the road well.

Despite the pot holes and rough surfaces on lots of my local roads most of which are country roads with lots of twists and turns these tyres perform extremely well. Only had to brake heavily on a couple of occasions and though different weather conditions prevailed at the time the car stopped very quickly with no sign of losing grip. Must admit I have not used them in snow.
