Pirelli have developed the Scorpion Winter 2 as a high-performance winter tyre for SUVs.
The tyre is tailored in collaboration with car makers and is designed to balance safety, comfort, snow grip and wet-road control during winter use.
Scorpion Winter 2 tyres are available in 20 inch, 21 inch and 22 inch rim size tyres.
The tyre uses a staggered V-shape tread design with a continuous edge from shoulder to shoulder. This layout is designed to retain snow within the tread, helping improve grip and braking performance on snow-covered roads.
The tyre features optimised variable groove sections within the tread pattern. These grooves support wet-road performance by helping the tyre manage water across the contact patch during winter driving.
Main groove chamfers provide additional flow paths for water evacuation. By directing water away from the tyre more effectively, the design supports straight-line aquaplaning performance and wet-road control.
