Nokian WR D4 (Winter Tyre)

for proper winter conditions cant fault for just cold wet weather (which is mainly what we get ) im not so sure the extra flex in the rubber doesnt give the same feed back and can flex a bit too much in the corners so not as stable ( bear in mind my driving is on 60mph roads and country lanes) my previous michelin cross climates i feel were better for my main use. ive just got some uniroyal rain sport we will see if they suit me better .

We live in a high altitude area where we have regular rainfall fog icy roads and snowfall. My previous tyres always slipped a bit on setting off which made me nervous. Extremely happy with my choice of Nokian WR D4 Winter Tyres. They grip the road in the wet ice snow and slush. Have no problems making my way up slippery slopes and mud too. Would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to purchase winter tyres. Nokian are not that well known in the UK. If anyone knows how to make winter tyres it's definately Nokian. Black Circles was by far the most competitive on price and positive reviews from previous customers helped me make my decision.

The Nokian WD R4 winter tyres are a good winter tyre offering plenty of grip in cold snowy and wet conditions. Having put these tyres on a performance BMW M135i rear wheel drive the grip has increased dramatically and in the last snow conditions it outperformed a 4x4 on summer tyres which had got stuck on a country road incline. Would recommend.

Doing very well specially with the weather we have had recently and surface water everywhere. Will defiantly get again.

Grip in the wet does give me confidence and the tyres are (a) progressive to steer and (b) noticeably quiet in terms of road noise

So far so good! It has only been chilly with a few wet days since fitting them and they are still bedding in but they are comfortable and quiet and definitely feel more grippy than my Summer Goodyears which don't handle the colder weather so well. Overall they do give a feeling of confidence as the depths of Winter approach.
