Michelin have developed the Pilot Super Sport Acoustic as an ultra high performance summer passenger car tyre with reduced cabin noise technology.

The tyre uses dual compound tread construction and Michelin Acoustic Technology to support dry performance, wet grip and improved acoustic comfort.

Pilot Super Sport Acoustic tyres are available in 20 inch rim tyre sizes.

Dual compound tread

The Pilot Super Sport Acoustic uses dual compound technology across the inner and outer tread sections. This allows different rubber compounds to be used for separate performance requirements. Supporting balanced handling and grip.

Motorsport derived outer compound

The outer section of the tread uses a carbon black reinforced compound derived from Michelin’s Le Mans 24 experience. This compound supports dry traction and responsive handling.

Acoustic foam technology

Michelin Acoustic Technology applies polyurethane foam to the inner surface of the tyre. The foam absorbs vibration and noise generated during driving, helping reduce cabin noise without changing the tyre’s core performance role.
