Michelin have developed the Pilot Sport S 5 Acoustic as a summer super sport passenger car tyre for high-performance vehicles and electric vehicle applications.
Co-designed with car manufacturers, it is intended to support precision handling, wet and dry grip. It has reduced cabin noise where Michelin Acoustic Technology is fitted.
Pilot Sport S 5 tyres are available in 20 inch and 21 inch rim size tyres.
Manufacturer tailored development
The Pilot Sport S 5 is tailor-made for high-performance vehicle manufacturers. This development approach supports fitments for sports cars where steering precision, grip and road control are key requirements.
Dynamic Response handling
The tyre uses Michelin Dynamic Response Technology with a hybrid aramid and nylon belt. This construction helps transmit steering inputs to the road, supporting responsive handling and controlled performance.
Dual Sport tread design
The Pilot Sport S 5 features Dual Sport Tread Design with Bi-Compound Technology. Large tread blocks support dry grip on road and track, while the rubber compound and longitudinal grooves help maintain traction on wet roads.
