Michelin have developed the Pilot Sport 5 Acoustic as a summer performance tyre designed for passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
It is engineered to deliver responsive handling, strong grip and extended tread life.
Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres are available in 20 and 21 inch rim tyre sizes.
The tyre incorporates Michelin Dynamic Response Technology to improve steering precision and responsiveness. This works alongside MaxTouch construction, which evenly distributes forces during acceleration, braking and cornering.
A dual tread pattern design separates wet and dry performance functions across the tyre. The inner section uses wide longitudinal grooves to evacuate water and improve wet traction, while the outer section features rigid blocks for enhanced dry grip.
Michelin Acoustic Technology uses a polyurethane foam layer to reduce interior noise caused by road resonance. This works in combination with a variable tread block arrangement designed to limit sound generation.
