The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a high performance tyre, developed with input from BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche.

Michelin have designed the Pilot Sport 4 tyre with dynamic response technology - their use of Aramid and Nylon in the makeup of the tyre helps to ensure that the tyre is continually conforming to the contours of the road, delivering the best traction available for the conditions.

The tyre's tread compounds has been derived from Michelin's extensive experience in key motorsport events - such as Formula E and World Rally Championship.

Michelin PS4 tyres are available in 16 inch, 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch, 20 inch and 21 inch rim tyre sizes.

Control On Wet Roads

The Pilot Sport 4 tyre uses Dynamic Response Technology to make sure steering responses are accurately passed through the steering wheel to the road. Giving you precise handling. The highly responsive tread pattern adapts to the road surface, providing better grip and control, especially on wet roads.

Excellent Braking Performance

Michelin have developed the Pilot Sport 4 tyres with a mix of elastomer and hydrophobic silica within the tyre's compound. This, combine with wider grooves and a optimised asymetric tread pattern ensure the tyre can disperse surface water form the tyre's path quickly and efficiently. Giving the tyre excellent grip and traction, even in wet conditions. It also helps to reduce the risk of aquaplaning.

They are good tyres. I put them on a VW California so it is not a sports car, and it weighs about 3 tonnes, so all things considered I am really pleased. Wear seems decent, braking and cornering all good, deals with massive puddles much better than the ones I took off of it. The fuel economy went down a bit when I fitted them on all 4 corners, but I suspect that reflects the much better grip I have to the previous tyres. I would buy them again with confidence.
