Product description & features

The e.Primacy has been designed so that the amount of contact the tyre's tread has with the surface of the road is maximised. By designing the tyre to evenly distribute the pressures of braking, acceleration, and forces into the corners of the tyre, the lifespan of the tyre has been extended significantly.

A low rolling resistance has been achieved through specially constructed compound. Within the tyre's compound elastomer-filler coupling works to greatly reduce energy loss, which lowers rolling resistance - resulting in less fuel or electricity needed to move.

Michelin have designed the e.Primacy with a thinner top belt, that is capable of delivering the same resistance with less raw material. As a result, the e.Primacy generates less rolling resistance overall.

Thanks to an innovative component, the tyre's sidewalls can absorb less energy when flexing - reducing energy consumption and increasing range.

The Michelin e.Primacy - 225/55 R19 V is a summer tyre.

Treadwise they are a half milimetre deeper than the brand recommended Bridgestone Ecopia's. They seem generally quieter than the Bridgestones, and car handling is at least as good, if not marginally better. Where I've knocked them down a star is because of two punctures and a blowout. Now I know these last are probably accidental, and / or sheer chance, but I just have that creeping thought these aren't as strong as the Bridgestones. Still a good buy overall, and only slightly more expensive.

In the initial 2 weeks, the tyres felt actually awful. The grip level was clearly lower and the steering feel was worse with lack of self-aligning torque. However, they got so much better after the initial period. The grip level still feels slightly lower than what I remember with the Continental, though. I don't notice much change in the range. If the price is the same next time, I would choose Continental.
