The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 is a high performance tyre, designed for owners of sport and high performance cars.

Hankook have developed the Ventus V12 Evo 2 tyre with a silica tread compound to deliver high levels of grip. The directional pattern of the tyre's tread features notched shoulders with 3D ribs on either side of the continuous central rib - to help provide drivers with strong traction and stability when driving at high speeds.

To tackle the risk of aquaplaning when driving in wet conditions, the tyre also features 'aqua jet' lateral grooves - these collect and quickly remove surface water from the path of the tyre.

With ride comfort in mind, the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 has been designed with grooves in the intermediate blocks to reduce the external noise of the tyres.

The Hankook Evo2 is a great tyre, good all round grip, gives confidence and stops extremely well. Low road noise but probably not the quietest and still gives good control and predictable performance even when running out of grip if pushing things a little too hard. I live their full snow tyre I use in the alps have a lot of faith in the brand. My Merc does wear the outside edge of all tyres but these no more than others.

These tyres make the steering so mush heavier to me on low speed manoeuvres which I found disappointing and wished I hadn’t bought them. The short time I’ve been able to use my car in between lockdowns they feel a softer ride over the bumps and potholes which is good and it certainly feels “planted” on the road. The garage that looks after my car tell me they find some makes feel like that for the first thousand miles or so then they seem to “ run in “ and become easier. Fingers crossed my garage is right.

The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tyres perform very well overall they are resonably quiet at motorway speeds they give good feedback from the road but are not overly firm so as to give a harsh ride. Grip in the dry is every bit as good as any much more expensive top end performance tyres I have had in the past. What I like most about these Hankook tyres is the level of performance you get in the wet yes you can probably get a little better wet grip from the premium big name brands at twice the price but I wouldn't say there is much between them for the price these are hard to beat.
