Goodyear have developed the UltraGrip Performance SUV Gen-1 as a winter SUV and 4x4 tyre designed for cold-weather road use. The tyre uses a specialised tread pattern with interlocking sipes to balance dry handling with snow performance.

UltraGrip Performance SUV Gen-1 tyres are available in 19 inch, 20 inch and 21 inch rim tyre sizes. 

Interlocking sipe structure

The UltraGrip Performance SUV Gen-1 uses interlocking sipes within the tread pattern. These sipes help the tread blocks work together under load, supporting a balance between dry handling and snow traction.

SUV optimised tread pattern

The tread pattern has been optimised for SUV and 4x4 use with enhanced sipe and block arrangements. This layout helps the tyre manage the demands of heavier vehicle applications while maintaining controlled winter handling.

Wet and snow traction

The tyre’s distinct tread arrangement is designed to increase traction in snowy and wet conditions. By improving contact and grip on winter roads, it supports shorter braking distances and more stable handling.
