Product description & features
The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance features Goodyear's 'WearControl Technology' to ensure that the tyre has a low level of rolling resistance. Not only does this help to save fuel, but it also means the tyre wears evenly throughout its lifespan.
EfficientGrip Performance tyres are available in 14 inch, 15 inch, 16 inch, 17 inch, and 18 inch rim tyre sizes.
Goodyear have constructed the EfficientGrip Performance with 'ActiveBraking Technology' which increases the level of contact between the tread and road surface.
This technology leads to greater levels of traction and shorter braking distances - internal tests carried out by Goodyear have shown this has reduced braking distances by up to 8 metres on wet roads.
To lower the levels of rolling resistance of the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, a newly designed base compound has been created that reduces the resistance of the tyre by up to 18% compared to previous models.
The EfficientGrip Performance is currently manufactured in 2 variants of tyre:
Please note: before you select your tyres, ensure that the tyre size that you intend to order are the correct variant and matches your vehicle type.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?
The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.
Can you use summer tyres in winter?
Whilst summer tyres still offer adequate performances in wet and cooler conditions, it is recommended that you change. The tread design and technologies that are featured in summer tyres can harden in colder temperatures, resulting in reduced flexibility and decreased traction on snow and ice.
