Product description & features

The Falken Ziex ZE914 Ecorun is a tyre designed to couple high levels of fuel efficiency and low rolling resistance.

The tyre features an asymmetric tread design with four wide circumferential grooves. These make the tyre extremely resistant to hydroplaning whilst also providing stable and reliable performance on both wet and dry road road surfaces.

The tyre has also been constructed with Falken's special "Ecorun Compound" which works to reduce the tyre's rolling resistance, therefore using less fuel.

The Falken Ziex ZE-914 Ecorun - 195/50 R15 V is a summer tyre.

At first the tyres seemed very good, but after a few months the tyres were already showing signs of wear. I literally only got 9,000 miles 10 months out of these Falken ziex Ecorun tyres before they needed changing. I would say they are very poor value for money and definitely wouldn’t purchase them again. I replaced them with Goodyear efficientgrip which seem far better tyres for roughly the same money, and they grip far better in the wet than the Falkens ever did.

It has been 6 months since these tyres were fitted to the car. Overall I am very happy with them. The main improvement is tyre noise this is clearly a lot quieter that the tyres previous. Wet grip performance is very good. Price difference isn't a lot but the quality is certainly on par. If this is as good on wear as the Continental of previous then it is certainly recommended.

Feels like a brand new car as the original Dunlops that were on exacerbated the tramlining you'd expect from a runflat. Easy to handle and good grip wet or dry (have driven in terrential rain on a dual carriageway for an hour with no real problems).
