Dunlop have developed the SP Sport Maxx GT 600 NR1 as an extreme-performance summer tyre engineered specifically for the Nissan GT-R and GT-R Nismo, which the NR1 marking denotes as a Nissan original-equipment homologation.

It uses a high-grip, silica-reinforced compound in an asymmetric tread pattern to combine ride comfort, handling and traction. The tyre also features Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology (DSST), a run-flat system for temporary mobility after a loss of pressure.

SP Sport Maxx GT 600 NR1 tyres are available in a range of performance car fitments.

Handling and Cornering

Large outboard shoulder blocks and a continuous centre rib enhance initial steering response and cornering stability. This gives the tyre the composure to translate the performance of a high-powered sports car into precise, controlled handling.

Wet Grip and Aquaplaning Resistance

Notched inboard ribs work with three circumferential grooves to disperse water and resist aquaplaning at speed. This helps the tyre maintain grip and stability in wet conditions without dulling its dry performance.

DSST Run-Flat Technology

Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology uses reinforced sidewalls that temporarily support the weight of the car after a puncture and complete loss of air pressure, allowing continued driving for up to 50 miles at up to 50 mph. A JointLess Band of spirally wrapped polyamide reinforces the internal structure for high-speed durability and a uniform ride.
