Intelligent Sipe and Tread Pattern for Snow and Ice

An optimised arrangement of steep, parallel sipes allows the tyre to collect more snow within the tread.

Good performance but skids easily in the rain. Still skids in the snow but is the difference between getting up a snowy hill and being stuck. - I still skid in snowy weather, ice and rain despite these tyres. - My performance is actually worse in snow, but I believe that this is due to different tread depths.

I take them off in summer, but in winter I wouldn’t be without them, excellent in the cold and the wet. In colder conditions the road holding is really impressive, feels like a dry summers day - These are winter tyres, in cold, wet and dry they are superb, they handle very well in the cold, but as you would expect they don’t when it is warm.

Wanted some decent winter tyres, bought 4 new tires and expected Continental being a premium tyre to offer good performance. Tyre had a bulge in the side after less than a thousand miles. Manufacturer blamed pot hole damage. Now have a second tyre with the same problem. Will not use this brand again.

We haven't had snow since I bought them but I know from using them before that they make a huge difference in the snow, the difference between being stranded and being able to get grip in conditions that you really wouldn't think possible. Without winter tyres, in the snow the car was like a sledge! They handle well in non-snow conditions too.
