Continental have developed the SportContact 5 SUV SSR as a high-performance runflat tyre for SUVs. Combines strong grip with improved braking. 

SportContact 5 SSR tyres are available in 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch and 20 inch inch rim tyre sizes.

Cornering Stability

A macro-block outer shoulder design increases the tyre’s contact area with the road surface. This allows the tyre to adapt more effectively during cornering, improving grip and overall driving safety.

Improved Efficiency

Continental’s Black Chili compound uses advanced short-chain polymers to optimise energy absorption during braking. This results in reduced braking distances on wet and dry roads, while lower vibration at constant speeds contributes to improved mileage and reduced fuel consumption.

Runflat Security with SSR Technology

Self-Supporting Runflat (SSR) technology prevents the tyre from failing in the event of pressure loss. It also reduces the risk of the tyre slipping off the rim. Allowing safer continued mobility after a puncture.
