These were a direct replacement for the existing tyres on the car, with the exception that I went down a load rating (from an XL to a non-XL tyre) because I wanted better feedback and roadholding. As a result it rides much better and feels more confident when pushed through corners. Whilst they tend to be rated as a Summer tyre, they seem to displace water well and cope with the worst the British seasons can throw at it.
