Continental has developed the ContiSportContact 3 SSR to give drivers of powerful vehicles the high level of performance as the standard ContiSportContact 3, combined with the added security of run-flat technology.

The tyre has been engineered to deliver precise steering response, shorter braking distances and reliable wet-weather grip, while keeping road noise to a minimum for a comfortable driving experience.

ContiSportContact 3 SSR tyres are available in 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch and 20 inch rim tyre sizes.

Asymmetric Tread Ribs

Continental's asymmetric tread ribs are designed to withstand the high forces generated during fast direction changes and high-speed driving, helping the tyre maintain a strong connection with the road. The same tread ribs manage the forces created under heavy braking, contributing to shorter stopping distances, while purpose-shaped grooves help clear water quickly from beneath the tyre to reduce the risk of aquaplaning.

Self-Supporting Run-Flat (SSR) Technology

The SSR system is Continental's own run-flat technology, built around a reinforced, self-supporting sidewall. Should the tyre lose pressure, this construction stops the sidewall being crushed between the rim and the road and prevents the tyre from coming away from the rim, removing the need to carry a spare wheel.
