Continental have developed the PremiumContact 2 SSR as a summer runflat tyre designed for passenger cars. It combines the PremiumContact 2 tread design with SSR runflat technology. To deliver safety, stability and performance in both wet and dry conditions.

PremiumContact 2 SSR tyres are available in 17 inch rim size tyre sizes.

Runflat Safety And Stability

The tyre uses Continental's SSR runflat technology. This allows for the continued use of the tyre for a limited distance after a loss of air pressure. It does this with a reinforced sidewall to support the vehicle’s weight in the event of a puncture. 

Advanced 3D Groove Braking Design

A 3D groove tread pattern is engineered to improve braking performance in both wet and dry conditions. The design increases the interaction between tread blocks and the road surface under braking. 

Aquaplaning Resistance And Handling

Angled grooves and sipes are designed to efficiently channel water away from the contact patch. This reduces the risk of aquaplaning and improves wet-weather stability.
