If you’re in need of all-weather grip, then the Avon CR6-ZZ Road-Race is for you.

Boasting a carcass tailored to period chassis dynamics and a choice of hard or sport compounds, the CR6-ZZ also suits the car it is fitted to rather than simply chasing outright grip.

Avon CR6-ZZ Road-Race tyres are available in 10-inch, 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch rim sizes.

Zig-zag tread pattern

The CR6-ZZ’s period-correct zig-zag pattern is engineered to clear water effectively and hold stability in adverse conditions, which is how a competition tyre keeps working when the weather turns.

Progressive carcass

Rather than maximising grip alone, the CR6-ZZ is designed to complement the chassis characteristics of classic and historic performance cars, behaving progressively instead of overloading suspension built for far less grip.

A29 and A30 compounds

The CR6-ZZ comes in two compounds – A29 hard and A30 sport – so the same size can be specified for durability or for maximum grip, with the A30 the default wet choice in a number of historic race series.
