Goodyear
Goodyear – established at the end of the 19th century - is the largest American tyre manufacturer on the market and have been making tyres on British soil since 1927. Since that time over 300 million have been shipped all over the world from the main UK factory, which is based in Wolverhampton, just 15 miles north west of the head office.
Goodyear has been working with Ford since 2001 to monitor temperature and pressure inside tyres. This "intelligent tyre", of a dynamic shape, fits all kinds of vehicle on all types of road. As well as Ford, Goodyear has partnerships with manufacturers such as Peugeot, Ford, Rover, Vauxhall, ERF, Leyland DAF, Case New Holland and Caterpillar.
