Uniroyal
Uniroyal are an American manufacturer founded in 1892. Their biggest contribution the evolution of the tyre was the invention of the rain tyre in 1969 – to which they still own the copyright to. As you would expect, they are one of the most respected manufacturers and take up a large part of the rain tyre market.
Not a company to get bogged down in just production, they also have been quite passionate in creating entertaining events for the general public. For example, Uniroyal were among the first manufacturers in Europe to come up with a race open to the public – The Uniroyal Fun Cup.
In the 1980’s Uniroyal merged with Continental A.G.
