Should I choose winter tyres? fully support the fitting of winter tyres where customers experience prolonged periods of low temperatures.

Winter tyres operate best at temperatures below 7 degrees and are designed to offer increased performance in harsh winter conditions – such as snow, ice and deep water on the roads.

The compound of a winter tyre typically contains a higher content of natural rubber. This allows the tyre to remain flexible in freezing weather, conforming to the road. Additionally the grooves of a winter tyre are generally wider than a standard summer tyre – this is to help channel snow and water.
