Porsche and Hankook partner on latest Panamera

New Porsche Panamera with Hankook Tyres
Hankook tyres

The Porsche Panamera is one of the most desirable luxury cars in the world.

It also happens to be one of the best high performance saloons, too, so it has to satisfy the competing needs of different drivers all at the same time.

Porsche is a past-master at building sensationally quick cars that are also refined and comfortable, so the latest Panamera’s superb all-round abilities should come as no surprise.

It’s helped in this quest by using Hankook S1 Evo Z tyres as standard on Panamera models, including hybrid versions that have the added challenge of meeting drivers’ fuel economy expectations.

In order to keep every Panamera driver happy, Hankook’s S1 Evo Z tyre comes with the firm’s Ultra Ultra High Performance tread pattern. It means the tyre can easily handle the size and weight of a luxury car like the Panamera while also delivering the grip and cornering a Porsche customer wants.

Underlining how far Porsche and Hankook have gone to make sure the Panamera’s tyres meet every challenge, the pair have spent thousands of miles testing the Panamera around the notoriously uncompromising Nürburgring race track in Germany. By the end of the test, the S1 Evo Z passed with flying colours and impressed everyone with how well it performed in both dry and wet conditions, just like it will have to deal with on the road.

When the Porsche Panamera range goes from the desirable entry model with its 330hp V6 engine all the way to the ultimate Turbo S E-Hybrid with an astonishing 700hp, a lot is expected of the tyres.

This is where all that track testing and the Ultra Ultra High Performance technology comes to the fore by delivering the best refinement, handling and steering response at all times. It means the Panamera driver can switch from driving the Porsche as a limousine one moment to using its full performance the next without ever having to think whether the tyres are up to the job.

As a car that many Porsche customers use as their everyday transport, the Panamera also needs a tyre that will last the distance. Again, Hankook has developed the S1 evo Z with this in mind and it also works just as well on the rear-wheel drive versions of the Panamera as it does on the all-wheel drive models, or if you choose an E-Hybrid in place of a petrol-only version.

As you drive down a wet motorway, through town, or make the most of a favourite country route, Porsche’s Panamera will make the most of every drive thanks to its Hankook S1 evo Z tyres.
