Product description & features
BF Goodrich have designed this tyre to be 20% tougher compared to it’s predecessor, and this is thanks to the improved rubber – making the tyre split and bruise resistant, whilst also increasing the thickness of the tyre wall to make it more durable and extending the treadlife on and off-road.
Thanks to the improved and unique tread design, this tyre provides enhanced performance and mileage in all conditions, even snow, mud, and rock. Interlocking tread design and stone ejectors – decreasing irregular wear while also protecting the tyre from stone retention. Mud-phobic bars and serrated shoulder design – increasing traction on all surface conditions and actively removing any built-up mud from the tyres.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?
The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.
How can I tell if a summer tyre is suitable for winter weather?
The tyre features the EU sanctioned 3PMSF marking - Three Peak Mountain Snowflake:
This accolade was introduced to be an easily recognisable symbol which displays that the tyre has passed standardised, controlled, and, rigorous tests. It confirms the winter suitability of a tyre. Not all summer tyres have this accolade.
