Designed for a safe and comfortable ride in winter weather, the Vredstein Snowtrac 5 is a mid-segment winter tyre with outstanding grip and braking.

The tread compound of the Snowtrac 5 has been specifically designed to produce excellent braking performance in wet and snow conditions. The Snowtrac 5 also features a tread pattern including an enhanced number of sipes to assist in delivering exceptional braking on snow and ice.

It also features an efficient water draining design within the tread pattern to reduce the risk of aquaplaning.

These tyres are outrageously good on wet winter roads more grip than I could ever need. On ice or snow they do slip as you'd expect but the don't slip much and are especially good through fresh snow which I was sliding over beforehand. On warmer dry roads they do lose a little grip but it's very predictable and not what they're designed for - I'll be putting their summer tyres on for the next 6 months and keep these in the garage for next winter.
