The Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV is the successor to the popular EfficientGrip SUV. It boasts improved mileage (by up to 25% based on Goodyear's internal testing agains the predecessor).
It also delivers a shorter braking distance on both wet and dry roads.
The EfficientGrip 2 SUV is also classified as 'EV Ready' - meaning it has been optimised to provide exceptional performance for both electric and ICE vehicles.
Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV tyres are available in 16 inch, 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch, 20 inch, 21 inch and 22 inch rim tyre sizes.
The amount of miles has been increased by 25% when compared to the EfficientGrip SUV. This is thanks to high tread elasticity and flexibility, which help to reduce fractures brought on by uneven road conditions.
A 4% reduction in wet braking distances thanks to reduced compound stiffness and more gripping edges.
A 7% less dry braking distance has been achieved with the use of larger ribs and a larger contact surface in the middle of the tread.
Since its initial launch, the EfficientGrip 2 SUV has been recognised in the following:
The EfficientGrip 2 SUV is currently manufactured in 1 variant of tyre:
Please note: before you select your tyres, ensure that the tyre size that you intend to order are the correct variant and matches your vehicle type.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?
The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.
Can you use summer tyres in winter?
Whilst summer tyres still offer adequate performances in wet and cooler conditions, it is recommended that you change. The tread design and technologies that are featured in summer tyres can harden in colder temperatures, resulting in reduced flexibility and decreased traction on snow and ice.
