The Goodyear EfficientGrip is a car tyre designed as a environmentally friendly tyre, balancing driving performance with reduced fuel consumption.

Goodyear designed the EfficientGrip with a unique tread surface featuring carefully positions sipe positioning - this enables the tyre to remove surface water from the path of the tyre's path, a key component in reducing the risk of aquaplaning.

The use of a high ratio silica compound lasts longer due to the more flexible nature of the material. This compound also conforms to the road, ensuring that the maximum level of traction is always present, regardless of the road or weather conditions.

The tyre's FuelSaving technology and outstanding rolling resistance provide the Goodyear EfficientGrip with excellent mileage and reduced fuel consumption.

EfficientGrip tyres are available in 16 inch, 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch, and 20 inch rim tyre sizes.

They have good grip and reasonable noise rating. They are very expensive, probably because they are run flats. I’ve found them very frail, I’ve had the car 3 years and have had to replace 4 tyres because of side wall bulges way before they were worn out.

Excellent grip but seem to be easily punctured in the sidewall from presumably pot holes. You would think run flats with stronger side walls would be less prone to damage

When I ordered had 2 new tyres fitted through Black Circles, a BMW safety check indicated that one of my ‘New tyres’ fitted at the time was in fact a repaired ‘Run Flat’ tyre. As the safety check happened over 3 months after the fitting date, Black Circles refused to resolve this. As a result of this experience, I will no longer use Black Circles for any new tyre in the future. The tyre itself is a good tyre and I will continue purchasing the same type of tyre for our cars from a more reputable dealer and fitter in the future.
