Product description & features

The Continental Sport Contact 5 SUV ContiSeal is a high-performance SUV tyre with strong handling and control. The tyre features a ‘Marco-block’ tread pattern to give the driver better-quality grip and cornering on the most unpredictable roads – leading to a safer overall performance.

The Sport Contact 5 SUV ContiSeal also includes Continentals Black Chili Compound Technology, which have been designed to improve the tyres wet and dry grip and decreases braking distances. As well as this, the tyre also has reinforced twin steel belts within its internal structure to provide superior quality and comfort for the driver.

This version of the Sport Contact 5 SUV includes ContiSeal technology – meaning that punctures of up to 5mm in diameter being sealed instantly from inside the tyre. It is not advised to surpass 50 mph in the case of a puncture though, to reduce the likelihood of tyre failure.

Summer Tyres

What are summer tyres?

Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.

How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?

The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.

Can you use summer tyres in winter?

Whilst summer tyres still offer adequate performances in wet and cooler conditions, it is recommended that you change. The tread design and technologies that are featured in summer tyres can harden in colder temperatures, resulting in reduced flexibility and decreased traction on snow and ice.
