Mercedes C Class Sport – Tyre Option, Michelin Pilot Sport
The Mercedes SL500 is the jewel in the crown from Mercedes performance cars. The CL-Class Coupé delivers everything you would expect from a Mercedes-Benz top of the range coupé: dynamic handling with Active Body Control (ABC), advanced safety features including Electronic Stability Programme (ESP®), superior performance with the V12 Bi-Turbo engine (available on the CL 600), and of course sumptuous comfort. This car is the arch rival of the BMW M3. The tyre of choice seems to be Michelin Pilot Sport; our alternative replacement option would be the Continental Sport Contact tyre. The tyre sizes vary from 255/45 R17 Z through to 255/40 R18 Z. |
Mercedes C Class – Tyre Option, Bridgestone Potenza S03
The Mercedes C180 KOMPRESSOR increases its torque by (get this): compressing the air before sending it into the chamber! This makes it efficient and responsive which is amazing considering its size. The normal tyre option on Mercedes C180 seems to be the Bridgestone Potenza S03 tyre. The sizes vary from 195/65 R15 V through to 205/60 R15 V. The tyre on the car seems to be subject to change depending on the availability at the time of vehicle production. 2007 models are fitted with Continental Premium Contact 2 (M0) - this is a specific Mercedes fitment which has been designed by Continental to maximise the performance of the car. |
Mercedes E Class – Tyre Option, Michelin Primacy
The Mercedes E Class Avant-garde is probably the best in its executive performance class. Its close competition is the newly designed BMW 5 series. Usually seen in their hundreds on the M25 chauffeur driven with newspaper reading directors in the back we see this car with real hard wearing tyre requirements. Tyre of choice seems to be the Michelin Primacy and the tyre sizes vary between 205/60 R 16 V and 245/45 R17 Z. Alternatively we recommend fitting the Continental Sport Contact 3 (MO) - the MO fitment is a specific fitment for the Mercedes, designed by Continental to enhance the vehicle's performance. |
Mercedes A Class – Tyre Option, Continental Premium Contact (MO)
The Mercedes A Class is as synonymous with Easyjet as it is with UK motoring! With a bit of a scare after its launch it has confirmed itself as a stayer in the quickly growing performance and luxury mini market. As it is billed as an about town model the tyre of choice is very appropriate. The Continental Premium Contact tyre is hard wearing and extremely low maintenance, usually lasting longer than the life of the car. We would recommend an alternative to be the Dunlop SP200 or the Bridgestone ER30 tyres. Tyre sizes start around 195/50 R 15 V through to 205/45 R 16 V. |
Special Offers | Blackcircles constantly offer excellent deals across a range of different tyre sizes, so please check our latest tyre deals on our Special Offers page. However some vehicle manufacturers do recommend that you keep the same brand of tyres that originally came on the vehicle as they have worked with the tyre manufacturers to develop vehicle specific fitments to improve the vehicle’s performance.
If you are at all unsure whether you can change brand, please call our customer service team on 0845 200 0022 who will be able to let you know whether there are any alternative brands for your vehicle.
