Alfa Romeo 147 – 205/55 R16 W Pirelli P6000

The Alfa Romeo 147 is the best performing Alfa yet; alas we feel it may be a little overpriced. The 205/55 R16 W Pirelli P6000 its Italian equal is a perfect match for this competitive day-to-day sports car. Other tyre options for the Alfa Romeo 147 include 215/45 R17 Y and 195/60 R15 V. We have road tested this car and are extremely impressed with the corner handling, which we attribute not just to its sports suspension but also its choice of tyre. The Pirelli stands up to the test well. The hot tip with this car would be to move over to directional tyres, a favored option of ours for the Alfa Romeo 147 would be the Toyo Proxes T1-S or for the price conscious amongst us the Falken ZE512.

Alfa Romeo GTV Coupe – 255/45 R17 Y Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3

The Alfa Romeo GTV Coupe is built to perform. The cars major competitor in terms of market share is the BMW 3 series coupe. We road tested both these cars and the BMW 3 series coupe is by far the more powerful off the mark however its top end speed it quite close. The tyre of choice for this car is a 225/45 R17 Z Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. We love the tyre, and have previously crowned it as the official pioneer of true directional tyre technology. Our alternatives for this tyre are varying. For a direct replacement with a little bit more life we would recommend the Toyo Proxes T1-R. If you are looking for the same sort of wear for a little bit less cash, try the Avon ZZ3. And if you are looking to save some money choose the Falken ZE512.
