Skoda Tyres Test | No longer the poor relations in the VAG group, as improvements in design and build quality have brought great rewards for Skoda, who are now second in the JD power survey for customer satisfaction in 2007. Residuals are still a problem and the brand continues to suffer from badge snobbery compared to similarly priced alternative brands. Skoda also scores well on Euro NCAP tests for vehicle occupants, so this brand offers excellent, affordable motoring for the customer that can live without the prestige badge on the bonnet of their car.

Skoda Fabia - Tyre Option, Continental Eco Contact 3
The Smallest Skoda available, providing an excellent ride with a good level of refinement, competing with the likes of the new Corsa and the Peugeot 207. The Fabia competes well in this sector but the styling is a little dull compared to the competition. A good range of trim and engine specification although the diesels can be a bit noisy.

Skoda Octavia – Tyre Choice, Continental Eco Contact 3
The Octavia uses its Golf underpinnings well to create a finely balanced and sharp handling car. It brings with it a comfortable ride with a well proportioned cabin that is good even on long trips. Again a good level of trim and specification are available, and even though the 1.4 engine struggles at faster speeds, this is a very fine alternative to the competition.

Skoda Roomster – Tyre Choice, Continental Premium Contact 2
The Skoda Roomster is a sea change in design for Skoda, competing with The Renault Modus or the Citroen Berlingo. Providing a bright and spacious cabin aimed at young families who want something different from a standard hatchback. This MPV comes with a range of extras and engine options is a viable alternative for people looking for something different
