Nissan Tyres Test

Nissan is one of the biggest vehicle manufacturers in the world after forming its alliance with French manufacturer Renault. We have had a look at what tyres Nissan give you and detailed the information below (www.nissan.co.uk).

Black Circles stock complete ranges in Ford tyres to suit your vehicle and your driving style. Contact our customer service team for impartial advice on 0845 200 0022.

Nissan Micra - 165/60 14T Michelin E3A

The Nissan Micra is one of the most successful of the new breed of fresh designs coming out of Japan. The Micra is a practical about town super mini, offering great fuel consumption and yet still offering acceleration when it matters. Nissan have traditionally built excellent cars with high levels of equipment and the new Micra is no exception. The Nissan Micra is not the most spacious supermini but it offers a fun drive and trouble free low cost ownership. Another recommended option for the Micra is the Continental Eco Contact 3 or Continental Premium Contact.

Nissan Almera - 185/65 15 H, Michelin E3A

The Almera is competent but in no way exciting. It appeals to the buyer who desires reliability from their car above all else. Residuals on this car are also poor but equipment provided is good on most of the models. Tyre options for this car should offer the driver a smooth comfortable drive with minimum road noise. The Pirelli P6000 Powergy would fit this purpose as would the Dunlop Sport 01. A budget choice for this car would be either the Barum or the Kleber.

Nissan Primera - 185/65 15 H, Michelin Pilot Primacy

The Nissan Primera is Nissan’s more to the family car, company car market sector. Again the car performs well overall but is not one of the best. It is not bad in any area but neither is it outstanding. Equipment levels are again very good with some options (including CD changer) as standard that you would expect to find only in much more expensive cars. There are a good range of engine options with the 2.2 diesel probably being the pick of the bunch. The low speed ride is slightly firm and the residuals are poor. Tyre options for this car would be the Bridgestone ER30 or the Goodyear NCT5.

Special Offers

Blackcircles constantly offer excellent deals across a range of different tyre sizes, so please check our latest tyre deals on our Special Offers page. Do you know that on some vehicles it is possible to fit a different brand of tyre from what is currently on the car, you may find a different brand suits your budget and driving style better – so it’s always worth investigating. However some vehicle manufacturers do recommend that you keep the same brand of tyres that originally came on the vehicle as they have worked with the tyre manufacturers to develop vehicle specific fitments to improve the vehicle’s performance.

If you are at all unsure whether you can change brand, please call our customer service team on 0845 200 0022 who will be able to let you know whether there are any alternative brands for your vehicle. Don’t forget that Blackcircles remain independent and we pride ourselves on offering our customers impartial advice on tyres.special.gif
