Mitsubishi Tyres Test

The Japanese car manufacturer is probably best known for its four wheel drive vehicles, and for their participation in the World Rally championship with the Evolution. Mitsubishi also manufacture a full range of passenger cars that should accommodate most of the requirements of the modern motorist. (www.mitsubishi.co.uk).

Black Circles stock complete ranges in Mitsubishi tyres to suit your vehicle and your driving style. Contact our customer service team for impartial advice on 0845 200 0022.

Mitsubishi Carisma  1.8 CDI - 195/60 15V, Bridgestone  RE050

The Carisma is Mitsubishi’s entry level family saloon. It is a versatile runner with excellent levels of equipment. The main selling point of the car is its price; whereas the drive may not be as good as some of its competitors it does provide excellent value for money. The tyres for the car as designed to enhance the driving experience by providing good levels of grip and increased comfort levels. Options for this car are the Michelin Pilot Primacy or the Goodyear NCT5, these tyres will complement this car well.

Mitsubishi Colt  - 175/70 13 T, Goodyear GT2

The Colt is Mitsubishi’s entry into the small car market. A roomy and spacious small car whose main drawback is the lack of safety equipment. As with most Japanese cars the engine specifications are very good and the perky 1.1 is probably the pick of the bunch. The tyres for this car are designed to make town and city driving as pleasurable as possible. The Goodyear tyre provides good levels of grip in both the wet and dry. Tyre options for this car are the Continental Eco Contact 3 or the Dunlop SP2000 tyre. A good quality budget option for the car would be the Falken tyre.

Mitsubishi Shogun Sport  2.5 TD classic- 235/75 15 T, Pirelli Scorpion S/T

This Mitsubishi Shogun is one of the best known four wheel drive vehicles in the world. The vehicle has superb off road capabilities. Compared to some of the more modern vehicles in its class it does lack a certain amount of finesse on the road. Depending on the purpose you intend to use the vehicle for will dictate your tyre choice. An option for the road would be the Goodyear Wrangler tyre this would provide an increased level of comfort and quietness to the drive. For off road then an all terrain tyre or a mud terrain tyre would be the best option. In this class a BF Goodrich tyre is a well respected choice.
