Michelin Motorcycle Tyres
Michelin is beyond doubt one of the most praised and respected tyre manufacturers in the industry.
Dedicated to innovation, Michelin’s engineers don't leave anything unchecked when they build their tyres and because of this Michelin are well known for their superb grip and their impressive resistance to the highest of temperatures.
As dedicated to motorbike tyres as they are to any other kind, Michelin have a massive catalogue of motorcycle tyres for both on and off road motorbikes.
Michelin Pilot Sport
The Pilot Sports is a motorbike tyre that is frequently recommended by many bike enthusiasts. The Pilot Sports have been described as sport tyres which give you everyday use. These tyres offer the accuracy of a racing tyre coupled with the high levels of control that you would expect from a road tyre. The Pilot Sports have less feel than Avons, however, they make up for this by giving you a smoother ride. Some riders have noticed that they do not benefit from a dual compound and thus have a tendency to flat-spot occasionally. These tyres have fantastic longevity and wear; but in terms of grip, the Pilot Sports don’t inspire as much confidence as some of the other brands.
Michelin Pilot Roads
The Pilot Road is a popular tyre, and while it does not have the same levels of grip and handling as the Metzeler, it does have a longer life span which you may appreciate. This tyre is suitable for all weather conditions and performs especially well in the wet, and is also soundly priced for what it offers you. Another benefit of these tyres is the fact that it is clear to see when the tyres are worn out and need replacing. The rear Pilot Road has a softer sidewall which helps the tyres to handle well. For everyday riding the Pilot Roads are a good tyre and are best suited for 600cc bikes - however if you have a bigger bike or often ride on tracks with an aggressive style of riding these tyres are not going to be suitable.
Michelin Pilot Power
The Pilot Powers benefit from the same material that is used for Michelin’s MotoGP racing tyres but are for sale at a much more affordable price. For a sport bike you won’t go wrong with a set of Pilot Powers as they are quick to lean and have good levels of handling especially if you enjoy tackling twists on the road. If you have an aggressive style of riding these tyres will suit you down to the ground, although they may take a while to get used to - once you do there will be no looking back!
