Our Tyres Service
Blackcircles.com was founded by current Managing Director Michael Welch in 2001 and was the first online tyre retailer to offer a fully fitted tyre service through the use of e-commerce. This meant for the first time, consumers in the UK were able to book and buy tyres online.
Our simple and quick order process (whether it be online or by telephone) has remained virtually unchanged since we started - if it's not broken, don't fix it - and is as follows:
1. Supply your tyre size.
2. Choose from a selection of tyre brands in your size.
3. Supply your postcode.
4. Receive a list of garages in your area.
5. Specify the time and date that suits you for the fitting of your tyres to take place, or for the tyres to be delivered (in the case of mail order).
6. Confirm your order details.
7. Pay and receive your confirmation number and receipt.
8. Turn up and get your tyres fitted.
Once you order your tyres, we arrange for them to be dispatched from one of the many central stock holding locations where our tyre range is stocked. The average time it takes for your tyres to be fitted from when you ordered them is 24 hours and in most areas of the UK a same day tyre fitting service can be arranged. Using the stock holdings from across the UK our Blackcircles.com product database is kept up-to-date and so, therefore, is our online catalogue. This means that the products the customers see when they reach the products page are - the majority of the time - in stock. This is also the same procedure that ensures our retail prices are kept up to date and low.
Our garage network is a combined 1,000 garages, the majority of who are independent garage operators. By working with these independent garages for the last eight years we have built great relations and an understanding and agreement of what customer care levels should be is shared and delivered. This sets Blackcircles.com apart as a tyre retailer with customer service at the heart of its operations.
Our recruitment and ongoing assessment of the garage network is part-managed by Unipart. 'Blackcircles.com and Unipart Endorsed' is the official accreditation achieved by the garages that pass the accreditation process. So be sure to look out for this when you are getting you're next getting your tyres fitted.
When your order is complete and the tyres have been fitted, we like to get in touch once more to ask a series of questions about the quality of the service you received. This information is used to shape the business, especially in the areas of customer service.
The business is promoted using mainly affiliate and partnership deals, where Blackcircles.com offers customers cheap tyres through a discount and offers its partners a commission - partnerships range from the inserting of leaflets in statements through to 'powered by' tyre websites for car related organisations. This approach has enabled the cost per acquisition to be reduced drastically since our early years of operation.
As you can imagine, margins in the tyre industry are tight, but we remain commited to keeping prices low as we focus on aquiring new customers, as well as keeping returning ones happy. On average you can enjoy a price that is around 40% less than Kwik-Fit. It is because of our dedication to service, to quality and to low prices that Blackcircles.com has managed to gain hundreds of thousands of customers throughout the UK.
