Continental UltraContact: New Tyre Coming Soon

With the new UltraContact, Continental is set to add to their range of premium tyres which has been developed to deliver outstanding mileage and high safety standards.

Continental have redesigned the compound and tread to combine maximum service life with safe handling characteristics, low rolling resistance and low noise emission.

The UltraContact will be available from spring 2022 - with the tyre set to be made available in 100 tyre sizes throughout this year. With the tyre being made in rim sizes from 14-20 inches.

With the new UltraContact, outstanding mileage, excellent longevity and low driving noise have all been optimised.

The car tyres are tailored to the needs of fleet operators and end users, and also well suited to electric vehicles. This is also shown by the classifications on the EU tyre label. It offers the best wet braking performance with a grade of “A,” and a rolling resistance grade of “B.”

For noise emission, it is classified “A” or “B” depending on the size of the tyre.

Continental have designed the tyre with a goal of extended longevity compared to pervious models. The tyre has also been developed to deliver short braking distances on both wet and dry roads.

Continental UltraContact

With the new UltraContact, the large number of different slanted sipes ensure effective surface water removal from tyre's contact with the road surface and tyre shoulders.

This bevel shaped sipes help to speed up the rate at which water is removed from the path of the tread - ensuring short erbraking distances on wet roads.
